Finally, Response from Trustpilot!

Published on 18.09.2018 by Andy Butler

Trustpilot have responded with their ICO Reg Number at last!

Trustpilot's ICO registration numer

It is not on any of their websites. Even the privacy policy does not mention ICO registration.

Q: Why is this important?

A: Consumers and businesses sharing their details are being #Trustjacked

I am very concerned that in spotting fake reviews on Trustpilot I found

  • A cover up of a databreach
  • Fake reviews and deception using TRUST as a lure to collect consumer details
  • Hijacking company website reviews

It is racketeering, hijacking of company online marketing budgets so Trustpilot can become a $Billion IPO off the back of Google Adsense.

Technically none of my business - except when Trustpilot showed it is not to be trusted.

So many fake reviews found on Trustpilot which are linked to Fields Associates Ltd / Fields Group members operating the #fieldsdatarecoveryscam

Trustpilot compliance blocked me on Twitter and Facebook because they cannot give an answer that is fundamental to my company joining Trustpilot.

Their sales staff have tried adding my website because they want my company to join their club.

Playing the Game of:

  • A cover up of a databreach
  • Fake reviews and deception using TRUST as a lure to collect consumer details
  • Hijacking company website reviews

If I wanted a fake Trustscore it is easy, so easy even un-Ethical hackers can WidgetFix.

What is Widget Fixing?

Widget Fixing is the practice of deliberately modifying Trustpilots code to a higher than actual Trustscore.

For 2 years Trustpilot ignored this was being done by Fields.

Fields have for more than a decade used fake reviews / reviewer profiles and even developed their own fake reviews / comparison websites (over 30 websites - just one cost £15,000) This was part of a sector domination which a decade on has made £millions for the Fields Group and surplus profits for their members who are now operating the hashtag#fieldsdatarecoveryscam for themselves even more profitably.

So many consumers and businesses are affected that it has brought all DR companies across the UK / Europe and US under pressure.

It is impossible to compete with a well organised SCAM.

My fighting it is not a moral crusade - I am matter of fact - it costs me money / I lose business / profit and Time helping victims of Fields.

Trustpilot need to learn from such situations - it will cost Trustpilot much more if they are seen to not apply their "Zero Tolerance" and not act on suspicious activity but instead cover it up.

If they want a cover up they should compensate the victims of Fields and their competitors who are also defrauded.

Trust is hijacked by conmen.

Reviews cannot be trusted.

Trustboxes and Trustscore are wrong.

Professional are adding insult to financial injury by effectively helping conmen.

You too will be #trustjacked if you have not been already.
